This tool can convert your YouTube watch history as exported from Google Takeout (in JSON format) into the database format expected by Watchmarker's database. All code runs locally in the browser, and your watch history does not leave your device. If you are worried, you can inspect the code to see how it works (or ask a tech-savvy friend to do it for you).
Instructions:
- Export your YouTube watch history in JSON format using Google Takeout. Make sure to select JSON as the watch history export format. To prevent unnecessarily large exports, make sure to deselect all content types but "history"
- Wait for Takeout to email you the data. Takes a while but usually less than an hour
- Extract the `watch-history.json` file
- Upload the JSON file below
- Click the "Convert" button
- Import the converted file into watchmarker
